Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul
Dear fellow Pilgrim,
We invite you to join us in our sacred journey to the most profound and the holiest, place on earth: The Holy Land – to come to know the place where our Lord Jesus was born, where He walked, preached and healed, suffered, died and rose again. In short, the place where the mystery of our salvation was accomplished.
As I write this invitation, our cherished Theologian, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI’ quote comes to mind: “To go on a pilgrimage really means to step out of ourselves in order to encounter God where he has revealed himself…”
The Scriptures will come alive as we touch and physically see where everything started and actually be in the very place where it all happened!
As Carmelites, the origin of our Order is traced to the Mount Carmel in northern Israel. On the Solemnity of our Lady of Carmel July 16, we will be ascending Mt. Carmel, the world center of our Order to participate in our worldwide celebration.
Prayerfully read the well planned day to day itinerary and ask the Holy Spirit for assistance with the help of our OHF St. Joseph and our Lady who always says to us: “Do whatever He tells you.”
