Prayers for Forgiveness
Today is Forgiveness Sunday, observed by Byzantine Catholics as a way of entering into the purification and repentance of Lent. Lise asked that I forward her request for forgiveness from any of our members she may have ever offended.
I ask the same.
If we were meeting in person today, we would say,
"(name), forgive me a sinner"
To which the other would reply,
"May God forgive us both."
Followed by the kiss of peace.
